Bann Sidhe

The bann sidhe came
with a lullabye so soft,
we didn't hear her song;
Snatched away
like a stolen breath
So quickly you were gone.
In darkened halls
I clutch your robe,
sweet memories renew;
how precious now
the fragrant folds
That once were filled with you.
And now upon
the altar draped
As if you'd let it fall,
An earthly shell
you cast away,
when came
the bann sidhe's call.

Ah, lovely lass,
you've now become
another reason why,
to leap with joy
into her arms
when comes
the bann sidhe's cry.
