Hozho na'as glih

"In Beauty it is done."

The central concept of the Dineh - the Navajo - is balance, or beauty: hozho. Restoring balance, or centering oneself with the beauty of life, is the goal of the Navajo way. Indoctrinated as a child in Christianity and in the Dineh way around me, as well as the Celtic ideals, I find my own synthesis of hozho as a natural world view. In my way, C.S. Lewis' concept of joy is very much the same as hozho. My poems and songs reflect my search for this Christianized view of hozho.
